About

I grew up watching both my grandparents become a statistic to cancer related death. Owing to my personal association with cancer, I have always been curious to learn more about it and I wish to contribute valuable findings to the fight against cancer. While pursuing my Bachelors, I opted for courses such as cell biology, cancer biology, advances in applied biotechnology, etc., which enkindled my interest in the field of nanotechnology and nanomedicine. Additionally, the projects I performed during my Bachelors, paved way to pursue Masters in Applied Nanotechnology. Besides the role of a master student, I worked part-time as a graduate research employee at the university. For my Master thesis, I worked on “In vivo Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) 3D multicellular tumour spheroid model to evaluate Nanoparticle penetration”, at the AMBER Research Group, University of Twente, the Netherlands.

My Master thesis brought me into greater realizations to what extend I wish to work towards the fabrication of a preclinical tool for testing anticancer drugs, thereby improving patient care. I have been working on my Ph.D. project for more 10 months now. I have an electrifying team to guide me throughout while having joy working on projects with different collaborators in the field of 3D bio printing. Moreover, I actively participate in scientific competitions such as Falling Walls Lab Heidelberg 2022 by FallingWallsLab2022 and at BioFabrication twitter conference 2022 by International Society of Biofabrication, where I was one of the finalists.
